Celebrating work -- all kinds of work

“Loving You's A Dirty Job But Somebody's Gotta...Image via Wikipedia

Mike Row is a show host at Discovery Channel

It's quite likely that Mike Rowe has held more jobs than any living person. Rowe is a co-creator and the host of the series Dirty Jobs, now in its fifth year on the Discovery Channel. On the show, he learns and performs hundreds of jobs that require, it's fair to say, a little bit of getting dirty -- from chick sexer to mushroom farmer, beekeeper to boiler repairman. He and his show celebrate the sweaty and vital labor that's often hidden behind gleaming office towers.

Mike Rowe talks about jobs more specifically dirty jobs that are not liked by us or are the basis of the jokes. He talks about their importance and how they can actually make people wealthy. He dispels the common misconception that people who perform dirty jobs are unhappy.

The talk shows how media can alter our perception so that fairly common and necessary form of work can be perceived as dirty and below dignity for a person to perform.

CNBC Makes Daily Show's Shit List

It is high time when we have to get the fact from a comedy show. We are in the midst of economic melt down of the extra ordinary proportion.

TV news sources are our primary source of news. Most of them have shown very poor judgment in reporting. They failed to report the current problems of financial system. Even at this point they are at total loss to accurately report the gravity of the situation.

Jon Stewart a comedy show host has to set the record straight. Here in this video he takes on CNBC and how they failed in reporting financial news.
