Story of Failure of the First Hedge Fund

The fund was established by the quantitative financiers also known as Quants, who use leverage to maximize the yield on the investment while hedging the possible risks.

Eric Rosenfeld a principal of Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM) talks at MIT about the failure this hedge fund. The fund was bailed out by Alan Greenspan.
