Dr. Schor is a professor of Sociology who has been studying consumption habits of American. She is an author of many books to describe this particular phenomenon.

She talks about the over work and the shifting expectation of the Consumers. In the recent years we have been working longer hours with less leisure time. At the same time the demand for luxury has increased causing the situation of over spent American.

Gigapixel Pictures

There are new ways of creating digital pictures. Especially high resolution panoramic pictures. Here is an example of Gigapan system.
The GigapanSM system was developed by Carnegie Mellon University in collaboration with NASA Ames Intelligent Robotics Group, with support from Google.

The picture below shows the panoramic view of Golden Temple in India. Use the controls shown by the arrows on the picture to zoom and pan the image.
